Church Today
I was really refreshed at sunday school. Today we talked about putting on the full armor of God. I've heard that verse 3000 times in my life but I feel like today I actually got it. Satan is so sneaky and he lies to me and diverts me so many times from spending time with God. We talked about how Satan used to be one of the top angels in heaven and he was the leader of worship for all heaven. Think about how beautiful he was! He thought he could be as high as God so long story short God threw him out of heaven and now he is ruling earth for the time being. Since he was the leader of music think about how much he impacts what we listen to. I was driving today and listening to klove and then I turned the channel to another station and thought about how much of a better tune, beat, and melody the other station has over klove. The songs that aren't necessary christian are so much easier to listen to. You think that is a coincidence? I'm not saying all songs that aren't completely christian are "bad" but think of what the most popular secular songs actually are saying. I never listen to Klove because like I said I feel like the tunes to most of the songs are so boring but I have to start listening to words now. My goal this week is to listen to words of songs and choose what I listen to wisely. I know I've gone off on a tangent but I feel like satan is so prevalent in America. I'm tired of him tricking me! I like christian music don't get me wrong but if you take away the words and just go on tunes you have to admit that some of them aren't as catchy.

Last days of Summer
We had a shower for my friend Meg. I was going to do a whole post about it then thought it would just be a repeat of Alicia's at threedoodles.blogspot.com so you can go there to read about it. We had so much fun getting to meet and hold sweet Lilly! Meg and Nick were full of joy!
Well...it's the last couple days of summer and we are really enjoying them. We went to the lake and had the best time! Addie has never been on a boat and she couldn't get enough of it. She tube and swam in the lake. We went with Gammy, Papoo, Nick, Emily, Ella and Owie. Ella and Add had so much fun playing together!
I went to work in my classroom on Friday. It was so good to see all the other teachers. The beginning of the school year is so refreshing everyone is in a good mood and excited to be back! Can't wait for another wonderful GES year!

Funny!
I didn't know that people could find this blog. I started it so I could have sort of a scrapbook for Addie when she is older and I didn't tell anyone I started this. Then one day I get a text from someone saying "I just read yada yada on your blog". So I flipped out thinking how did she know I had one? Long story short...I didn't know if you clicked on my picture you could get to this. Nevertheless...now I'm excited to share it!
The weirdest thing has come over me lately and I'm REALLY ready to go back to school!! I can't wait to decorate and organize my room, see all my teacher friends, take notes in my new notebook, meet all my new little students, and start a great new school year. I think that is why God made seasons in the year. He knew we needed a break and a fresh new start every once in a while. It's going to be hard leaving Addie but I think since she is older I won't cry every time I drop her off. When she was only a year I was terrified I was going to miss a milestone. I told my mom never to tell me if she walked first with her and to let me think I saw it first. Of course she didn't...she called me one day and said "she is about to walk!" so of course I drive 100 miles per hour to go get her. She did take 6 steps that day and I'm going to believe I was there when she first did! I just hate missing out on anything with her but now that she is older she enjoys being with my mom and other days being with Kathy (her babysitter) and other kids. I know it's good for her.
I'm sorry I'm rambling I just had to get some of this off my chest!
Have a great July day!!

July 4th!
I love 4th of July! Swimming...watermelon (watermelon crawl...which is me greasing a watermelon and throwing it in the pool for the guys to fight over) cookout...fireworks! We had a great 4th this year! We went had a Stiles Beach party with some of our friends and of course family. Then we went to watch the fireworks. The look on Addie's face when the first firework went off was priceless! It was pure joy and amazement! I love having a child! It makes everything fun again!!
